About.

The company has recently been incorporated in Singapore by the members of Dharmacapital Co., Ltd., which is the only Japan-incorporated firm registered as a High-Speed Trader*1 in Japan. Our proprietary trading programs are designed to run on servers colocated within JPX and PTS facilities, executing trades daily across thousands of equities and derivatives to manage the capital of other affiliates wholly owned by our holding company.
We are to be appointed as a designated market maker*2 by the Tokyo Financial Exchange, Japannext, and Japan Alternative Market to contribute to liquidity and efficiency across these markets alongside other global giants.

*2 Designated market makers are appointed by exchanges and PTSs based on their capacity to execute orders and provide liquidity. At each venue, this designation is typically granted to around the top five firms.

Founder/CEO Shiotani, Akiyoshi

He began his career in 1995 at Lehman Brothers Japan, where he worked as a derivatives trader in the firm’s proprietary trading division. Following the spin-off and establishment of Blue Edge Technologies, Inc. by his team, he served as Senior Strategist. He later founded Dharma Capital Management Pte. Limited in Singapore, the predecessor to Dharmacapital Co., Ltd. and Dharmacapital Pte. Ltd.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain trading systems on a daily basis

Researcher▼

Responsibilities

  • Develop and validate new trading strategies
  • Enhance existing trading strategies and tactics
  • Conduct research and organize theoretical frameworks related to trading strategies and market structure



Desired Qualifications

  • Strong abstract thinking and insight to identify the essence of complex phenomena and tasks. Programming experience is not a mandatory requirement at the time of hiring; however, candidates with advanced programming skills will be given preferential consideration.



Engineer▼

Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and enhance trading systems (C++)
  • Build tools to support trading and monitoring, and implement code for market analysis (Rust, Python, .NET, etc.)
  • Manage and optimize large-scale simulation environments on GCP (Rust)
  • Accelerate systems through FPGA development
  • Manage and improve colocation infrastructure
  • Automate back-office operations



Desired Qualifications

  • Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals
  • Strong implementation ability as a software engineer



Role-Specific Qualifications

  • Understanding of low-level concepts such as assembly, instruction pipelines, and cache architecture
  • Familiarity with Linux kernel mechanisms including interrupts, threads, and scheduling
  • Data analysis techniques using machine learning
  • Experience configuring and managing Cisco and Arista network equipment
  • Knowledge of network protocols such as TCP/IP and IP Multicast
  • Experience developing services with Kubernetes
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP, including security considerations
  • Experience developing with Verilog/VHDL

The standard arrangement is full-time employment, but we are flexible and can also accommodate contract-based engagements depending on individual preferences.
[Working Hours]
Every Tuesday and Thursday, we hold a team lunch from 12:00 to 13:00 to foster communication. Outside of this, working styles are left to each individual.
[Long Vacations]
Employees can take at least two extended vacations each year, each lasting nine days or longer.
Additional Notes:

  • We are also hiring part-time staff and interns. Short-term internships involve one to two weeks of full-time, on-site work, while long-term part-time roles generally require one day of attendance per week.
  • No prior knowledge or experience in finance is required—new graduates and those without prior experience are very welcome.
